Shelf Life

Meal Kits adhere to the same 5-year shelf-life estimate as US Military MREs. Shelf life can be extended according to storage temperatures.

Menu Assortment

All our Meal Kits contain the same menu items as found in US Military MREs. Fully-cooked Meal Kit meals include entrée, side dish, bread product and spread (jam or jelly), dessert, beverage powder, condiments, and utensil.

Retort Packaging

Retort pouches are made from a technologically advanced multi-layered film and aluminum material, filled with food, sealed, and heated for sterilizing purposes.

Meal Kit Supply Canada uses the same quality pouches as accepted by FEMA and the DoD. Durable retort pouches can be air-dropped and subjected to field-handling.

Directions for use

Individual Meal Kit menu items are encased in a durable plastic carry bag with a pull-apart seal. All meals are fully cooked, fully hydrated, and can be eaten straight from the package or boil-in-bag, or warmed with a water-activated flameless ration heater.
