An MRE (Meal, Ready to Eat) is an invention of the U.S. Military. Initially created to feed soldiers in the field and on the move, they are fully-cooked kits of great tasting and hearty meals. They also include flameless ration heaters - which are ingenious, water activated, chemical heaters that allow you to have a piping hot meal anywhere. All our MREs (Meals, ready to eat) are assembled by US Department of Defence contractors using the same food and heater components used by the American and Canadian military.

MREs do not require refrigeration and have an astounding 5 year shelf life. This makes them perfect for all outdoor activities and emergency preparedness.

The ultimate flameless ration heater! Available exclusively through Meal Kit Supply Canada, this flameless ration heater was developed by Canadians specifically for our climate. Add 60 ml of water and it gets VERY HOT and stays hot long enough to thaw a frozen MRE! It will also generate enough heat to get two entrees (or an entrée and a side) piping hot.
